The Grass Song

I like watching grass grow

It's faster than you've probably been told

I imagine little men building their homes

Out of rain, sunshine, and green pigmented stones

But I've noticed that it's hard for grass to grow

Sometimes weeds will come to make it choke

And twice a week in summer it gets mowed

And hibernates for months when it's too cold

Grass is not as simple as it seems

And in many places not as equally green

But all grass wants to be is a pretty pasture from a scene
