That Small Town

I'm floating through time in the clouds of my memory

I can see although I've been so blind

All the sights and sounds and fury that surrounded me

And all the ones… I left so far behind

My mind slowly walks me down the streets I ruled and ran around

I think of all the friends and family I had when I was young

I hardly recognize it… by looking at it now

But that was my hometown… where I once belonged

And there's times when I miss that small town

I couldn't even guess… how far I've traveled
