Stained glasses windows stare back at me with malnourished discontent

The words I spoke had wrought dispute and malicious attempts into our flimsy paradise

My tongue is a parasite, it never stopped spitting as I you slid you hand down the right hand of the wheel to bring us into oncoming traffic

I watched you blink and hesitation, and proceed with the evening as you had planned it

Our future is volatile and delicate, ruined by our histories commandment

I see wildflowers grow within the veins of my wrists

I tear my eyes away and place a hand on the handle, I wrongly thought that dying alongside you would be romantic

Don’t let the ghosties win, you said with a solitary and arrogant tear falling down your cheek, your blatant sarcasm and in genuine emotional response hit me like mace

I make a half hearted retort about you being the dust in my joints and you evaporate into a volcanic depression

I haven’t felt my eyes smile in weeks,

And you don’t remember the last time you saw stars.
