Tough As Nails

Little things can find their way through the train of thoughts I endure

and when they enter through, it's impossible to feel tough as nails

While it's impossible to be myself when my mind is racing into anger land

I want to feel and be myself, but I just can't when my life is on a knife's edge

I need to breathe, although it is difficult, I need to try

Even when I feel tough, the nails continue to unscrew

Everything will be okay because this feeling or sensation will pass

It always does in the end

My emotions continue to race, but only I have the power to change

It is a mountain I must climb myself
